Overland Park Officers are investigating a theft from a hotel room in which the “room renter” removed sink and shower faucets, a shower head, table and desk lamps, towel racks, and a 37” flat screen TV.
The total loss from this theft is nearly $1,000. The person who rented the room paid with cash and presented a Kansas Driver’s License as identification. Investigating officers determined the driver’s license was stolen and altered with the thief’s actual photograph. All the other information on the stolen driver’s license was accurate. The female thief is described as a white female, 35-45 years old, and 5’ 4” to 5’ 6” tall, 145 to 160 lbs.
The suspect used a stolen driver’s license as identification and what makes this a bit unusual is that she cut out the photo of the driver and inserted her own actual photo. This made for an authentic appearing form of identification.
You just can’t make this stuff up!
