Officers Arrest Apartment Burglar after Call from a Neighbor

On Tuesday at 9:45 a.m., Officers responded to a possible “burglary in progress” report in the 10400 block of Mastin. The Officers received information from the Police Dispatcher that a neighbor watched as an unknown man entered a ground floor apartment. When the officers arrived at the apartment, they observed the sliding patio door was not secure and the security bar was out of place. The officers entered the apartment and confronted a young man inside. He was immediately taken into custody. Further investigation revealed the suspect had some of the apartment owner’s property in his possession. The eighteen year old was arrested and charged with the felony crime of Burglary.

Thanks to the concerned neighbor who was willing to call the police and report suspicious activity. This is another example of how important it is for neighbors to watch out for each other and take the appropriate action by calling the police.
