Armenian Police Visit Overland Park

Earlier this week, five high-ranking police officials from Armenia arrived in Overland Park to learn about our department's Community Policing efforts. In addition to touring the city, the Armenian Officers spent several hours discussing Community Policing with members of our Community Policing Section. Community Policing is relatively new to Armenia.

Their primary objective in visiting the United States is to educate themselves in the philosophy of Community Policing, as well as obtain specific information on the programs that have proven to be successful in our country. The Armenian group is currently spending a few days with the Kansas City, Kansas Police Department. They will visit several other Police Agencies around Kansas before returning to Armenia.
