Overland Park Cold Case from 1995 is solved

Thanks to cold case funding provided to the Johnson County Crime Lab, a 1995 rape case has been solved. On September 13, 1995 Overland Park Officers were called to the 9600 block of 86th Street regarding a rape. The suspect was unknown to the victim. An investigation was conducted, evidence was collected, but no suspect was developed.

In December of 2009 using the evidence collected at the time of the report, the Johnson County Crime Lab made a DNA match. The case was reopened and using the new information it was again investigated and eventually submitted to the Johnson County District Attorney’s Office who filed charges.

On 3/11/2011 court records show that a plea of guilty was entered by David Hudson in Johnson County District Court. Sentencing is scheduled for 4/15/2011.
