On 3/7/11 at 1030 p.m. Police were called to a residence in the 5700 block of 98th Street to investigate a robbery. It was reported that a man responded to the address to collect a debt. The person the man asked for was not home at that time.
Police were told that the man had his face covered by a bandana and that the man threatened the resident's by saying he was armed. No weapon was displayed. The man demanded money from the residents’ and left with a small amount of cash.
Police conducted an investigation and developed a suspect. Police located the suspect, and he was taken into custody. The man, a 19 year old Overland Park resident, was transported to the Johnson County Jail where he will await charges from the District Attorney’s Office.
