The Traffic Safety Unit is working hard to reduce accidents, especially those occurring in areas identified as High Accident Locations. When Patrol and Traffic Safety Officers are not busy working accidents or handling calls for service, they can be found conducting traffic enforcement in High Accident Locations.
The department's March Accident and Crime Reduction Initiative will take place on Tuesday, March 15, 2011, from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm. More than two dozen officers will participate in the initiative.
