The Overland Park, Kansas Police Department is conducting a DUI Saturation Patrol on Friday, August 3, 2012. It is the police department’s goal to reduce alcohol related auto accidents and discourage impaired driving within its community.
The DUI Saturation Patrol will begin at 10:00 PM, and the enforcement will not end until 2:00 AM. The Traffic Safety Unit will hold a briefing at the Myron Scafe Building, 8500 Antioch, Overland Park, KS, prior to initiating the enforcement.
The Saturation Patrol will focus on major thoroughfares, highways and those areas which include drinking establishments. As we have mentioned in previous blogs, the Overland Park Police Department is committed to removing impaired drivers from our roadways. So far this year (end of June), 330 impaired drivers have been arrested.
Please don’t drink and drive. If you are out and choose to consume alcohol, call a taxi or have a sober designated driver.
