Pedestrian Hit and Run - Suspect Information

Last night, around 11:02 pm, Overland Park Officers were dispatched to a reported hit and run accident that occurred in the area of 123rd Street and Nall Avenue.  By now you may have seen some of the news stories that reported this particular hit and run involved a pedestrian and an SUV.

Witnesses who were traveling on Nall described what happened.  They saw a white SUV vehicle was northbound on Nall Avenue.  An 18-year-old pedestrian started to cross the street and entered the lanes of northbound Nall Avenue.  The SUV struck the pedestrian and then continued northbound on Nall without stopping.

Today, the pedestrian remains in critical condition and officers with the Traffic Safety Unit continue to work the investigation. They were able to obtain still pictures of the suspect vehicle today by way of city traffic cameras.  The vehicle in the pictures is a white SUV.  The first photo shows the suspect vehicle before the collision. The second photo depicts damage to the hood area as the result of the collision with the pedestrian.
