Need Assistance Identifying the Owner of a K9 involved in a Bite Report

This morning around 9:30, officers were called to an area hospital in reference to a reported animal bite.

The victim said she was attending a New Year's Eve Party at an apartment complex in the area of 87th and Grant Street when she was bitten by a loose dog.  The attack happened after she stepped outside the apartment and was approached by a brown and white dog (similar to a Bulldog) which ended up biting her without provocation.

Several people were able to pull the dog away from her and took it into a nearby apartment within the complex.  They did not provide the victim with any information regarding the owner of the dog.

The 23 year-old victim was treated at a local hospital for minor injuries.

Anyone with information regarding the owner of this dog is asked to call the Overland Park Police Department at (913) 895-6300.
