Results of the 2015 Click It or Ticket Campaign

IMMEDIATE RELEASE 
 
The Overland Park, Kansas Police Department conducted a Memorial Day – Click it or Ticket - S.T.E.P. Campaign from May 18, through May 31. The campaign was conducted with the principle focus on adult, teen, and child seat restraint violations. Officers also looked for speeding violations, texting while driving violations, bicyclist violations, pedestrian violations, and DUI violations to help reduce alcohol related auto accidents.

  • 337.25 - Hours worked by officers assigned to the grant
  •  817 - Vehicles stopped 
  •  12 - Speeding violations
  • 774 - Seat belts (18 years or older)
  • 12 - Safety Belts (14-17 years of age) 
  • 3 - Safety Belts (8-13 years of age)
  • 5 - Booster Seats (4-7 years of age)
  • 2 - Child Seats (0-3 years old)
  • 4 - Texting While Driving
  • 155 - Hazardous Moving Violations
  • 86 - Other Violations
  • 6 - Warrant Arrests
  • 4 - Driving Under the Influence (DUI) Arrests
  • 3 - Other Arrests
